Buffalo Trace: Seller’s Reserve is Live!
A few weeks ago, I promised my Substack readers they'd be the first to know when reservations went live. That would be you, and I’m here to fulfil on that promise! The bottle reservations are now live on GamecockBourbon.com. Go get ‘em…
For those of you who haven’t clicked the link already, these bottles are extremely special. What makes them unique is the careful, personalized barrel selection process, which isn't something typically offered. This barrel wouldn’t be made possible for us without an equally special individual in G.C. Ramey. He was chosen over 10’s of thousands of people and stores on SazeracBarrelSelect.com to hand pick a barrel of Buffalo Trace…so that’s what we did. He was kind enough to share the barrel with each of you, so if you see him around or on social media, he deserves an attaboy.
The update: The barrel has finally been bottled and will arrive in SC on April 24th. I want to go ahead and get my ducks in a row with the task of collecting 200+ names and begin taking reservations. You will be picking them up at:
Clyde's Spirits and Fine Wines
4360 Augusta Rd, Ste D, Lexington, SC 29073
You will obviously need a valid ID to purchase the bottle, but that ID will also be matched to the name on the list. If you are picking a bottle up for a friend or having someone get yours for you, make sure you send the person picking up your bottle a photo of your ID. If you reserve the bottle with a nickname, or rather a name that isn’t on your ID, it is up to you to make me or Clyde’s aware before you pick up the bottle.
Once your bottle is reserved, sit tight. I’ll send out a newsletter soon with details for the bottle pick-up start date. I’ll send that out after myself and J.T. Riley peel off every BT sticker and carefully place the Seller’s Reserve stickers in its place. He deserves a shout out as well, as he has helped me tremendously with getting our Facebook group back up and running, as well as helping me hone my vision for the artwork on this bottle. He nailed it, and I owe him a debt of gratitude. Thanks J.T.
His artwork will be featured on a t-shirt as well, but I am still working on the tiny details with those. I have a meeting with the screen-print shop tomorrow, and once finalized, I’ll send out another email reminding everyone on where to buy them. The sale should last 2 weeks, go to print, ship, and then that will be it. No leftover inventory.
Good luck to everyone on securing your Seller’s Reserve bottle!
**If you happen to be playing in our golf tournament on May 3, I’m happy to arrange picking them up for you and bring them to the tournament in Aiken. Just shoot me an email and we can work that out for your convenience.
I would like to get a bottle of! Thanks, Stephen Dixon
Is there anywhere for me to buy a bottle of the seller's reserve?
